Learning Technologies

Back from Learning Technologies and here are my findings in a nutshell.

e2Train: I just love what these  guys are doing with there LMS Kallidus. The new version looks very promising, focusing on the user experience and integration with other tools like SharePoint and others.

Frog: Focused on school and not that much on companies. The concept is really great, it  lets you build your own personal environment within the network. You can link to apps like Moodle with one click. Back draw to me is that it’s delivered as a black box. So you can’t install this on your own server.

Captivate 4:  Is part of the “Adobe eLearning Suite” and has lots of new features. I won’t list them here just visit the Adobe site and see for yourself.

Caspian Learning: what they are doing is really amazing. I met them a few years ago at Online-Educa in Berlin when I was looking for game engines. At that time I was already impressed but now… o boy what a step forward this is. I just can’t wait for the new release of Thinking Worlds. I often refer to it as the Captivate for game development.

And finally Clive Shepherd and his “Ten ways to thrive in a downturn” once again a great presentation, thanks Clive.
